Great Lakes Automation Service Inc. designed and built a fully automated assembly machine to assemble a LED map light for inside of an automobile.
The lights were assembled on a 24 station AMi rotary dial machine.
Cycle time on this system was approximately 3 seconds, with a gross output of 20 parts per minute.
Operations included PCB board cutting and insertion, ultrasonic welding, vision inspection, function test and load approved parts into trays.
