Our History

Founded in 1973 by Chuck Watters and Don Stevens, AMi operated until 1996 when DT Industries acquired AMi.  Great Lakes Automation Services Inc. was founded in 2002 by Mark Fatica, Ken Fisher, and Bryan Brooks and acquired AMi in 2004.  In 2007, GLASi diversified and opened a Packaging and Kitting division geared towards service with military and the government. Great Lakes Automation Services, Inc went on to acquire Clifton Machining in 2009 to which became Great Lakes Machining.

Great Lakes Automation Services, Inc. is a service disabled, veteran owned, small business.  We are a systems integrator that designs and builds automated assembly and test equipment.  Our automated solutions include robot integration for assembly and material handling, rotary dial, both custom and AMi brand, linear systems and lean cells.  Conveniently located ten minutes south of Erie, PA we are a short drive from Erie International Airport and other major destinations, includingPittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Buffalo, NY, and Toronto, ON, Canada.
